KATHERINE, PR PARTNER & BRAND AUTHENTICITY DIRECTOR


Katherine Morales, APR, Public Relations Partner and Director of Brand Authenticity at Play, specializes in brand discovery, PR strategy, executive visibility and crisis communications. Utilizing heris 18+ years’ experience and skills in messaging, positioning, media relations, implementation and engagement, Katherine has worked with Play’s clients, including Nease, Lagana, Eden & Culley; HerSecure; TalentServed and ReMarkets.

She holds a B.A. in PR from FSU’s College of Communications, as well as Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). Prior to running her own brand, PR and& marketing company for more than 8 years (and counting), she led impactful campaigns for nonprofit, Fortune 500 and franchise companies, including the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council (FDDC), HP, Bayer CropScience, Chick-fil-A and Primrose Schools. She was the first full-time director of communications for Leadership DeKalb, as well as a graduate of its Class of 2012. In addition to supporting Play and its clients, Katherine also currently serves as director of public relations for Points of Light.

Katherine has received 11 industry awards for her work on behalf of major organizations, including the International Rhino Foundation, in collaboration with Disney. She has been recognized as a ‘trailblazer’ in the communication industry – an inaugural recipient of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Georgia Chapter’s 40 Under 40 Award and a nominee for its honorable Order of the Phoenix Award.

She is an active advocate and volunteer in the industry, having served on the PRSA Georgia Board of Directors and the International Universal Accreditation Board (UAB). She currently serves as an Assembly Delegate for the PRSA Georgia Chapter.

In her play time, you can find Katherine co-leading her daughter’s Girl Scouts Troop, hosting themed parties and spending quality time with her family.
